With the final 8 teams (in the PRO & NON-Pro League's we have a double elimination style between the best of each particular region with a formatting as follows: NON-PRO League Playoff Schedule: Playday 1 (July, 27) ECeS > Duskbin - 17:00 CET, bo3, US WEST paiN < mTw - 20:00 CET, bo3, US EAST Playday 2 (July, 28) SGC > AEON.Sports - 28th July, 15:00 CET NEXT.Kz > Harrosh (bo3, US West) - 28th July, 18:00 CET Playday 3 (July, 29) mTw vs ECeS- 17:00 CET SGC vs NEXT.KZ - 20:00 CET Playday 4 (July, 30) paiN > Harrosh (bo1) - 16:00 CET paiN > ECeS (bo1) - 17:00 CET AEON vs Duskbin (bo1) - 18:00 CET Duskbin vs SGC (bo1) - 19:00 CET mTw vs NEXT.KZ (bo3) - 20:00 CET Playday 5 (July, 31) LB Sem-Final (bo1) - 15:30 CET LB Final (bo1) - 16:30 Grand Final (bo5) - 17:30 CET (start's with 0:0 score) PRO-League Playoff Schedule: Playday 1 (August, 1) Potm Bottom vs iG - 17:00 CET, bo3, US WEST Quantic vs mouZ - 20:00 CET, bo3, US EAST Playday 2 (August, 2) CLG vs Orange eSports - 15:00 CET, bo3, US WEST Infused vs Zenith (bo3, US West) - 18:00 CET, bo3, US WEST Playday 3 (August, 3) WB Semi-Final #1 (bo3) - time & host will be set WB Semi-Final #2 (bo3) - time & host will be set Playday 4 - (August, 4) LB Round 1 Game #1 (bo1) - time & host will be set LB Round 1 Game #1 (bo1) - time & host will be set LB Round 2 Game #2 (bo1) - time & host will be set LB Round 2 Game #2 (bo1) - time & host will be set WB Final (bo1) Playday 5 (August, 5) LB Sem-Final (bo1) - time & host will be set LB Final (bo1) - time & host will be set Grand Final (bo5) - time & host will be set The grand finals will be a best of 5, but with the team from the winners bracket not starting at 1:0. This ensures at the very least 3 games from whichever two teams make it to the finals. Representing the Asian pro-bracket we have Orange, Invictus gaming and Zenith, three absolute giants of indvidual skill and team work. IG managed to secure themselves by playing a few extra games instead of an entire second round, as explained in an earlier article. Each of these teams names you say without immediate recognition and respect and without a doubt they're some of the top teams in Asia at the moment. For Europes' pro-bracket Mouz, CLG and Infused all qualify for round of 8 play. These three teams held complete dominance over their bracket during the group stages, with Mouz finishing an incredible 12-2, followed by 10-4 for CLG and Infused respectively. This is for me one of the most exciting regions of all because all the teams are so closely skilled you'll really never be able to tell who will win. Last but certainly not least the American pro-bracket brings in Quantic and Potm Botm, the two highest ranking seeds from their region. coL unfortunately didn't make the cut even though they held the same score is Quantic, there was a special system in place to ensure fairness in the case of a tie within a point system that ProDotA 2 has been using since the start of their tournament. Potm Botm actually lead their entire region with a very impressive 12-2 performance, followed by Quantic who sat at 11-3 which once again proves how close these regions are in their skill. The brackets for the round of 4 and onward can be found here! While the world stage is set for these teams, who will come out on top? If anything is certain you won't want to miss any of these games! |
We've come a long way since the beginning of ProDotA 2, seeing plenty of amazing games in each region whether it be Asian, European or American. But as far as we still have one leg of the race to go to finally prove once and for all who deserves the title of best in ProDotA 2s world league.
In this article: IG managed to secure themselves by playing a few extra games instead of an entire second round.
So confusing coz IG didn't win both games against EHOME and Orange, they were defeated by Orange.
