DTS Disbands after roster issues

We mourn the loss of what could have potentially been one of the best teams in the world for years to come in the DotA 2 community, DTS. As many of you know in the past days DTS had become prone to roster issues, losing a large chunk of it's core due to more roster changing. Darer received three players from DTS, Magus, Funn1k and Go[blin]. This occurance was days before the players were supposed to sign their contract with DTS management, solidifying their position as a full roster for a notable time period. The fate of the remaining players from DTS still remains unknown, ALWAYSWANNAFLY and Jackal still very well known and talented players, hopefully they can find a decent home. This is something that none of us want to see in any region of the world, losing a great sponsor and exciting matches from a team that definitely had promise. Hopefully in the future players and sponsors alike will start to realize that stability and consistency are the most important aspects of DotA and we won't have to experience situations like this. For those who are curious, DTS has no plans to re-make a roster in the near future. Hopefully we will see them return some day to perhaps take on their dominance in the European scene once again. As a result of these happenings ProDota 2 will be looking at replacing the old DTS who stood at 1-6 in the European Bracket with Virtus Pro. We also were able to grab a quick comment regarding the situation from Maxym DTS|XPEH: Our reasoning behind allowing VP in over other teams is this: Virtus.Pro has players from Darers original roster (NS, Dread, Santa) and they started this tournament in Darer. The most logical replacement in our eyes is Viruts.Pro not only because they are a great team and meet the qualifications, but because those players had already participated and we wanted to give them an opportunity to continue. |
